From girl friend to Fiancee to Wife 

Before we start the engine or start the ball rolling, allow us to educate you on the different stages before marriage. Probably this section would not be new to you, since you ARE already deciding on a proposal/wedding plans, hence feel free to skip this section at your own discretion.

Below we have a diagram to describe the status of your partner. As you progress in the different stage in your relationship with your partner, there are always a series of questions you have to ask, which partly comprise of ‘will you be my friend/girlfriend/fiancée/wife?’ Of course, depending on the question, there is a sometimes something that has to be the accompanying item. If you still don’t know (even after looking at the diagram?), don’t be afraid, we will answer your questions in the next section. Alright, let us not get too technical here, after all, there is always a grey line between each status and it may not always be a progressing line (if you know what I mean).     :P                     

Process of marriage:

Basically there is no rule for marriage in terms of sequence and the process. No right or wrong, no boundaries in this territory, although some culture has its own law.

When you really want to stay with your partner in long term, it’s time to consider engagement. Nowadays, financial stability for a couple is also critical factor for the time though.

Sequence of engagement and marriage varies from cultural difference:

A -> B  -> C
Propose -> House/ marry -> Baby

It is the most common way. You can take your time to prepare for proposal as the whole process is under your proper planning.

Well, now housing price keep going up. In order to make right choice and not lose out to good chances, they would put house in priority first, and other things come later. Proposal would be expected by ladies after purchase of house. Hurry up for choosing the engagement ring !

It is totally reverse from the traditional style. Since baby comes first, perhaps proposal part will be less priortized or skipped as there are so much things need to plan ahead. You can still give her suprise, and it is sweet too if you shop the ring together with your fiance!
